We name three rather than thirty, because a long list of logos is a directory, not a promise. But these three are not the edge of where we can take you. They are the institutions where the doctors who review your case practise — and the proof of the level we work at.
Hospitals are in the highest tier (A++++) of the Fudan Chinese Hospital Ranking, 2023 edition, published November 2024. Tiers are not ordered internally. Moso Health is an independent medical coordination service and is not an official partner of the hospitals named on this site.
Beijing
Highest tier (A++++) of the Fudan ranking. Eleven of its departments are ranked first nationally in the Fudan specialty ranking, among them pathology, radiology, general surgery and rare-disease medicine. It is the national referral centre for difficult and undiagnosed cases — the place other hospitals send patients when they cannot work out what is wrong.
Chengdu
Highest tier (A++++) of the Fudan ranking, and one of the largest hospitals in the world by bed count and case volume. Ranked first nationally in rehabilitation medicine, with multiple departments in the national top ten. Particularly strong in surgery, and in haematology and oncology.
Beijing
Highest tier (A++++) of the Fudan ranking. Three of its departments rank first nationally — urology, ultrasound medicine and health management — and twenty-four are in the national top ten. A pioneer in CAR-T research in China, and a major centre for complex surgery.
China has more than 30,000 hospitals, several hundred of which treat international patients seriously. For some diagnoses the right centre is not on this page — a dedicated cancer hospital, a children's hospital, a specialist eye or dental institution. Being limited to three would be a strange way to run a coordination service, and we are not limited to three.
What keeps that honest is not a longer list of logos. It is who pays us. Our fee comes from you and is fixed in writing before you commit; it does not grow when your hospital bill grows; and we take no referral fee from any hospital. That is what lets us send you somewhere we do not name above.
The three hospitals above are the ones we can show proof for today, with the ranking source attached. Name any other hospital and we will tell you in writing whether we can arrange it, and what that would involve.
A hospital that fails any of the three does not get recommended, however famous it is. This is also why we ask so many questions about your paperwork — the third point catches more patients out than any medical issue.
Our doctors are licensed physicians practising at top-tier Chinese hospitals. We do not publish individual names or photographs, for two practical reasons: hospital employment rules on external promotion, and the fact that naming one person creates expectations about who will treat you that we cannot always guarantee.
What we will always tell you in writing, before you pay anything: the hospital, the department, the qualifications of the reviewing doctors, and how long the review will take.
