Leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma — treatment in China

For blood cancers the two things that change outcomes are an accurate diagnosis and access to the right therapy at the right moment. China's top haematology centres see enormous case volumes, and carry the full range of options in one place.

Why it matters

Volume changes the reading of a slide

A haematopathologist who sees a rare subtype every month reads a bone marrow slide differently from one who sees it once a year. That is not a criticism of any individual doctor — it is simply what volume does. The top haematology centres in Beijing, Shanghai and Chengdu are among the busiest in the world.

This is the single strongest argument for a second opinion even if you ultimately treat at home. The written report is yours to take back to your own oncologist.

A second opinion does not mean abandoning your current doctor. Most of our patients use the report to open a conversation with the team already treating them.
